Warehouse Operatives - Levels 1 & 2

Who We Are

As a worldwide retailer of modelling and hobby products, we despatch parcels to regular customers as far as New Zealand. We have over 50 employees working over 2 sites.

We balance an effective multi-channel retail operation, involving our store in Liverpool, a telephone mail order operation and a busy website.

We run an effective warehouse despatching thousands of customer orders every week.

The Roles

We require talented, motivated and energetic people to work in the Despatch and Inventory Teams in our warehouse. The Inventory team ensure stock is in the right place at the right time for our Despatch team. The Despatch Team ensure orders are despatched quickly and to the highest standard for our customers.

These are permanent positions, subject to probation period of 6 months.

There are 2 levels of position available:

Inventory & Despatch Level 2

Main duties include:

• Checking orders and parcels for quality and accuracy

• Raising issues and supporting Level 1 staff

• Booking on and checking inbound deliveries

• Checking outbound stock - ensuring accurate and correct

• Working with Customer Service teams to solve problems that occur with stock

• Ensuring daily duties completed by Level 1 staff

• Picking, packing and bubbling orders

• Assist with Level 1 forklift and pallet tasks when required

Previous experience at an advanced or supervisory warehousing position is an advantage. We need people who can work quickly and accurately under time constraints.

Rate of pay: £7.75 - £8.75 per hour

Hours:

Despatch: 38 hrs per week. Working 4* 9.5hr shifts Mon - Sun between the hours of 7am and 8:30pm

Inventory: 37.5 hrs per week, 5*8 hr shifts, Mon - Friday between 8am - 6pm

Inventory & Despatch Level 1

Main duties include:

• Order picking

• Bubbling and packing orders

• Stowing

• Picking stock to move to other location

• Photographing new items to be viewed on website

• Forklift operation including:

  • Bringing deliveires into building

  • Removing stock from pallets and adding items to pallets

  • Emptying skips

Hours: 38hrs per week. 4* 10hr shifts Mon - Sun between the hours of 7am and 8.30pm

Rate of Pay : £6.50 - £7.50 per hour

For Level 2 positions:

• Ability and aspiration to manage and lead others is an advantage

• Previous experience managing and leading other people is also advantageous
