Thomas International has a brilliant opportunity for an applied psychologist to join our in-house Psychology team, taking a leading role consulting with our client partners to develop business solutions that are grounded in a psychological evidence-base. The Psychology Solutions Consultant will be closely aligned with our commercial and technical teams, globally, drawing upon your theoretical and technical knowledge to advise on the best practice application of our solutions. You will frequently attend client meetings to discover the challenges and opportunities that Thomas can add value to. You will submit your solution designs in the form of proposals and responses to  tender requests. You will actively engage with our client partners to demonstrate the value your solution/s could deliver, iteratively reviewing ROI. Your solutions will be delivered in partnership with project managers, account managers, integration consultants, trainers and software developers. Potential solutions could involve talent benchmarking, assessment centre design, bespoke SJT development, training interventions and more.

The Psychology Solutions Consultant will work alongside a direct team of applied psychologists from a varied range of backgrounds. The Thomas Psychology team deliver client-facing consultancy services, design, deliver and evaluate data-led business solutions and maintain the Thomas portfolio of psychometric tools through continuous research and innovation streams. The Psychology team act as technical business partners to a range of internal stakeholders (sales, training, marketing, development, technology) and our international partner network, which operates across 60 territories. Psychology Solutions Consultant will take a leading role in the enhancement of current applications of our solutions and the future development and innovation potential for the Psychology team at Thomas International.

The sucessful candidate is required to have a Master’s-level degree (Occupational/Organisational/I-O Psychology, Organisational Behaviour and Applied Social Psychology) or equivalent. 

The Job Profile suggests that the person occupying this position should have drive to achieve results in a friendly manner but at the same time maintain quality and standards. The incumbent should have the ability to absorb and impart factual information to others and work within standard operating procedures. Ideally the person fulfilling the role will have specialist/technical skills and will work within an area of knowledge and expertise. Communication, the need to enjoy challenging situations and a systematic and perfectionist approach to problems are integral to the function. The ideal person for this position will be positive, participative, self-confident, friendly, self-starting, competitive, inquisitive, imaginative, factual, consistent and somewhat conventional and self-disciplined. Activity, mobility, flexibility, variety and pace are also likely to be important aspects within the function. The incumbent may prove to be a cautious decision maker due to the need for perfection and getting things right.
