Essential Skills:
  • Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team

  • Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by development teams
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills

We are looking for a Scrum Master that can coach the Development team and help them to do the best work possible. You will enable high performing teams by focusing on improving culture, Ways of Working and better collaboration with the wider organisation to facilitate highly effective delivery.

As a Scrum Master, you will be well rounded in Agile frameworks and Lean principles. Although the role is for a Scrum Master, you will know where to add influence from Extreme programming, Kanban, Test Driven Development, DevOps and other useful areas to help the team to deliver value and delight our customers.

The Development team are on a journey to the cloud (Azure), automating everything from the infrastructure, code and testing as they go, and starting to add DevOps principles to how they work. We are in the early stages and are looking for a Scrum Master to guide the team through this transformation. Along with modernising the development approach, the team also have to keep pace with product developments and an ongoing quest to move away from a monolithic application into an open API’s and microservices world where frequent, smaller releases are the norm.

You will help and support the teams to successfully ship new products and services as well as making improvements to the products and services they own. You will be a forward thinking individual experienced in breaking down barriers, coaching the agile mindset and developing a cross functional and self-sustaining team. You need to be an agile practitioner and teach what great agile delivery looks like by making it happen every day. Our aim is to help the team move to become truly high performing, working in better ways to achieve better outcomes, where continuous improvement is the teams culture, fully empowered to do whats right, taking ownership and having fun!
