Training & Events Coordinator

This exciting and involved role will form part of a new team responsible for the event management and training cycle within Thomas International.  Your role will include the project management of all events, improving supplier relationships, and working closely with the team of Trainers.  The successful candidate will have strong administrative experience within a customer-focused environment, high level of interpersonal skills (particularly written communication), proficiency in MS Office and excellent organisational skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and collating agreed commercial metrics
  • Capturing all internal and external customer feedback
  • Providing proactive coordination support for the team of Trainers to maximise trainer time and associated costs
  • Attending client training and business events and workshops
  • Arranging accommodation and travel plans
  • Supporting the accurate and timely production of training materials and all associated delegate correspondence

The Job Profile indicates that the person fulfilling this role should have the ability to absorb and impart information to others on a factual basis within a specialist/technical area of expertise. Situations involving people and the maintaining of goodwill are also important to the function. The incumbent should have persistence, be thorough, systematic and precise and have an innate need to get things right. Ideally the person in this position should have the ability to adhere to rules, procedure and detail whilst maintaining quality and ensuring standards are met. Diplomacy and working within clearly defined parameters, in a predictable climate are other aspects which may be involved in the job.
